A Guided Tour of a Trawler by the Captain
Explore a trawler equipped with the latest technology, which delivers delicious seafood such as sweet shrimp (akaebi), Matsuba crab, and firefly squid. The captain, who is also the owner, will guide you through the ship’s interior.
Tour starts at 10:00 AM daily in July and August.

How to Stay at LOCA THE JUNPU

National Heritage Site:
The Town of the Qilin (Kirin no Machi), Moroyose

Moroyose Port flourished during the Edo era as a sheltered harbor for Kitamae ships. In 2018, the town’s “Kitamae Ship Ports and Shipowner Settlements” were designated as National Heritage Site. The Qilin Lion Dance (Kirin Shishi-mai) is traditionally performed during the summer festival of Iyonaga Shrine (July 14th and 15th). The manager of our facility, Yoshitsugu Tanaka, is the president of the Moroyose Qilin Lion Dance Preservation Society.
“From the elderly to children, all residents of the region love the lion dance. Without it, the festival just wouldn’t feel the same.”
The tradition brings every member of the town together in celebration, regardless of generation.
